Pancoast presented two papers in 1924 and 1932 and the tumour became known as Pancoast Tumour. In his papers, Pancoast describes the clinical presentation of three cases. In each the tumour was associated with shoulder and arm pain, Horner's syndrome, and atrophy of the muscles of the hand.
